Brent Kuykendall's story is Lewisville's story.

He moved here in 1971, graduated from Lewisville High School in 1977, and raised four children in the very same home where he grew up.

Global Perspective, Servant Heart

After high school, Brent spent 12 years serving as a missionary in Sweden and Russia. That experience broadened his perspective and strengthened his belief in servant leadership, accountability, and community.

Business Owner & Problem Solver

Returning home, Brent founded Ark Protection Systems, a successful small business working closely with security and communications systems. As a business owner, he understands budgets, operations, and delivering results responsibly.

Rooted in Community Service

He and his church community remain actively involved in events like cemetery clean-ups, Colorpalooza, Old Town Holiday Stroll, and the annual city-wide prayer rally. Brent believes strong communities are built through service — not a select few.

Safe Neighborhoods

Public safety is the foundation of a strong city. Brent supports fully equipping our police, fire, and first responders while ensuring smart, responsible oversight of city resources.

Strong Infrastructure

Lewisville is growing fast. That growth must be managed responsibly. Brent believes in strengthening roads, utilities, and city services so infrastructure keeps pace with development.

Fiscal Responsibility

As a small business owner, Brent knows every dollar matters. He will work to ensure city spending is transparent, efficient, and focused on core priorities — not bureaucratic bloat.

Lewisville works best when neighbors work together. City Council should bring people together, make community-led decisions, and lead with integrity for every resident.

Standing at City Hall, Brent sees the heart of the community that raised him. A people person by nature and a Lewisville local by heritage, he believes true leadership starts with listening.
